Thomas & Hutton is pleased to welcome the following new employees to its growing team of professionals:
Kimberly Douglas joined the accounting team in Savannah as accounts receivable specialist. Kim graduated from Kaplan University with a Bachelor of Science in managerial accounting. Before joining T&H, Kim worked with the Westin Hotel in Savannah as their accounts receivable agent.
Jesse Solomon is a landscape architect with four years of experience in the Charleston metropolitan area. His work has ranged from intimate courtyards to large urban developments. Most notably, he has been involved in several urban renewal projects in Charleston’s Upper Peninsula. Jesse earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. He is a registered landscape architect in South Carolina and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He serves on the steering committee for the Lowcountry Branch of USGBC.
Ryan Nelson joined T&H’s Columbia office as a civil designer II. Ryan is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.
Kris Touzel joined the Myrtle Beach team as an engineering technician. Prior to joining Thomas & Hutton, Kris studied civil engineering technology at Horry Georgetown Technical College. He has been in the drafting field for the last three years. Kris, a US Navy veteran, grew up in Conway, SC and currently lives in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Hillary Harris joined Thomas & Hutton's water resources team in Charleston. She received her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The Citadel. Hillary also earned a Master of Science in civil engineering with an emphasis in applied fluid mechanics from Clemson University. Hillary has worked as a design engineer with Alvi Associates, Inc. in Baltimore, where she worked on roadway projects with a focus on water resources. Harris has experience with the design of roadway drainage features, bridge hydraulics, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control.
William “Billy” Smith joined the Savannah civil team as a CADD Technician. He has 12 years of drafting experience.
Caitlyn Youngblood joined Charleston’s environmental team as a designer I. She graduated from Clemson University where she studied biosystems engineering, with an emphasis in ecological engineering, and a minor in environmental engineering. Her undergraduate career and internships have had a focus in water resources including: stormwater management, water treatment, and wastewater treatment.
Jack Duane joined the Charleston civil team as a designer I. Jack graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and previously interned with an Atlanta-based environmental firm.
Tommy Huang joined the Myrtle Beach office as a designer II. He is a first-generation American born and raised in South Carolina from parents who immigrated from China. Tommy graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and has obtained Engineer-In-Training and LEED Green Associate certifications. He has three years of civil site design experience with projects in residential, commercial, and industrial fields for both private entities and municipal government sectors.
Talon Wagenknecht joined Thomas & Hutton as a field representative in the Myrtle Beach office. Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Talon graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Talon holds 20 certifications and licenses with various institutions and specializes in heavy highway transportation.
Melissa Lusk has joined the Columbia office as an engineering technician III. Melissa graduated from Bluefield State College with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. Before joining T&H, she worked for US Infrastructure for 9.5 years as a designer and drafter. She has worked on projects for municipalities, such as sidewalks, road widening, and storm drainage improvements.
Heather Riggs has joined the Greenville office as an administrative assistant. Heather studied business administration, emphasizing on management at Clayton State University. Her professional experience spans a range of industries including resort hospitality, real estate, property management, transportation, construction, call centers, retail, and customer service. Heather has also owned her own businesses. Heather’s work history has provided her with a vast array of experience in leadership, administration, and customer service.
