Project Description:

Thomas & Hutton was hired by Bryan County to perform engineering and design services for the Bryan County spray field. This is a new 30-acre spray field located in southeast Bryan County along Belvedere Road.

This project consisted of two divisions. Division I involved the construction of an effluent Land Application System (LAS) off Belvedere Road in southeast Bryan County, GA. The work consisted of the connection to the existing effluent main within the existing wastewater treatment facility, the construction of 4,172 linear feet of various sizes of effluent mains, 5,296 linear feet of various sizes of spray field piping, multiple spray head assemblies, control valves, SCADA, and the telemetry systems on the 23-acre site designated “Division I Western Spray Field”.

Division II consisted of connection to the new effluent main along Belvedere Road installed under the Division I “Western Spray Field” portion of work, the construction of 557 linear feet of 12-inch diameter effluent main, 1,799 linear feet of various sizes of spray field piping, multiple spray head assemblies, control valves, SCADA, and the telemetry systems on the 7.6 acre site designated the “Division II Central Spray Field”.

Thomas & Hutton’s responsibilities included consulting, surveying, designing, permitting, and program management of the existing effluent main, the proposed effluent main, the various sizes of spray field piping, multiple spray head assemblies, control valves, SCADA, and the telemetry systems.
