Thomas & Hutton performed smoke testing, video inventorying, opinions of cost, prioritizing of repairs, and designing for the rehabilitation of clay sewers for the City of Dublin Sewer Rehabilitation Project.
The City entered into an agreement with EPD to reduce impacts from inflow and infiltration in the sewer system. Thomas & Hutton was charged with the inspection of 144 manholes, the review of video for 48,000 linear feet of gravity sewer main, the coordination of smoke and dye testing to determine cross-connections and preparation of construction documents for the repairs and rehabilitation of the manholes, 18,000 linear feet of CIPP, 120 point repairs, 4,200 linear feet of sewer replacement, and 5,000 linear joint grouting.
T&H prepared a GIS database for the City of Dublin, which linked the sewer infrastructure mapping to before and after manhole photographs, sewer video inventory, and proposed rehabilitation recommendations to assist the City in long range planning and maintenance budgeting.
