09 Jun Behavioral Health Crisis Center Groundbreaking Ceremony
A groundbreaking was held last week for the Gateway Community Service Board’s Chatham County Behavioral Health Crisis Center. The 22,000 square foot facility is scheduled to open in March 2020, and will provide round the clock emergency psychiatric services for the community as an alternative to treatment in a regular hospital setting. T&H provided planning, engineering design, landscape design, permitting, and construction services on a team with The Pinyan Company, Studio 8 Design, and Eastern Excavating, Inc.
Gateway Community Service Board was created by the Georgia General Assembly in 1993, the facility is a joint effort by the General assembly, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and the Chatham County Commission.
