Andy Camp

Before joining Thomas & Hutton, Andy served as an economic development resource for a wide variety of private developers and nearly 70 communities while with an advisory firm working with Georgia Power.  He also served as the economic development officer for Carroll County, Georgia and the City of LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia. A graduate of the McWhorter School of Building Science at Auburn University, he spent fourteen years in the construction and development industries prior to entering economic development. His previous construction experience includes hospitals, data centers, office buildings, and academic buildings for universities. For developers, he consulted on numerous industrial, commercial, and residential land developments including two LEED certified projects. While responsible for growing local economies, his communities added over 5,300 jobs on the strength of their commercial, automotive, food, and machinery sectors. He is a member of Leadership Georgia Class of 2015, the Georgia Economic Developers Association, the International Council for Shopping Centers, previously licensed as a professional land surveyor in three states, and a LEED AP.

 

Andy’s current role as Regional Director of Economic Development at Thomas & Hutton leads to collaboration with state and local community leaders on economic development projects, site readiness and due diligence, and forming partnerships with the private sector to bring new projects, jobs, and investments to their communities.
