T&H ist unglaublich stolz auf die Nachricht, dass unsere 2012-2013 Engineering Explorer Post Alumna, Ambria Berksteiner, eine gemeinn\u00fctzige Organisation namens „Operation One Stem at a Time“ gegr\u00fcndet hat. Inspiriert durch ihre fr\u00fchere Erfahrung als Forscherin, unterst\u00fctzt die Organisation junge farbige Frauen dabei, F\u00fchrungspositionen in MINT-Berufen zu erlangen. Nach der High School schrieb sie sich am Spelman College f\u00fcr Mathematik und Ingenieurwesen ein. Nach ihrem Abschluss am Spelman College im Jahr 2017 schloss sie ihr Studium des Wirtschaftsingenieurwesens an der Auburn University ab.<\/div>\n

Im Mai 2017 gewann sie die Wahl zur Miss Black Savannah USA. W\u00e4hrend sie die Aufgaben dieses prestigetr\u00e4chtigen Titels erf\u00fcllte, beschloss sie, junge Frauen of Color in den MINT-F\u00e4chern zu f\u00f6rdern, indem sie die „Operation One STEM at a Time“ ins Leben rief. sagte: „Nach den positiven Erfahrungen, die ich im Engineering Explorer Post-Programm gemacht habe, war es f\u00fcr mich selbstverst\u00e4ndlich, eine MINT-Mentoring-Organisation f\u00fcr junge Frauen zu gr\u00fcnden.“ Im Jahr 2019 f\u00fcgte sie der Organisation ein Stipendienprogramm hinzu, das Change Agent Scholarship f\u00fcr junge Frauen, die an den Savannah Chatham Public Schools eingeschrieben sind und ein MINT-Studium anstreben. Die Bewerbungsfrist endet am 10. April.<\/div>\n

Im Januar wurde sie von den M\u00e4nnern der Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. mit dem 2020 Citizen of the Year Award geehrt, und im April erh\u00e4lt sie den Leadership Service Award von der 100 Black Men of Savannah, Inc. Sie ist nicht nur Miss Black Savannah USA, sondern auch Spelman Alumna STEM Ambassador, Mitglied des Vorstands der Na Society of Black Engineers und des Georgia Power Women in Engineering Scholarship, was zeigt, dass sie sich vorbildlich f\u00fcr die MINT-F\u00e4cher einsetzt, indem sie weiterhin ihre Stimme erhebt und unterrepr\u00e4sentierte Studenten f\u00fcr die MINT-F\u00e4cher begeistert.<\/div>\n
