Sweetgrass Baskets sind ein Markenzeichen der Lowcountry-Kultur. Die Kunstform wird seit den 1700er Jahren von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben und ist eines der \u00e4ltesten westafrikanischen Kunsthandwerke in den Vereinigten Staaten. Am vergangenen Wochenende arbeiteten Mitarbeiter des T&H-B\u00fcros in Charleston zusammen mit der Kommission f\u00fcr Kultur, Kunst und Stolz der Stadt Mount Pleasant an der Restaurierung mehrerer Sweetgrass Basket Stands entlang des Highway 17, der auch als Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor bekannt ist.
