Das Projekt wurde in der Kategorie 1: Innovative L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr ein Designproblem\/Beste Verwendung neuer Produkte ausgezeichnet. Thomas &amp; Hutton war federf\u00fchrend bei der Entwicklung des Konzepts, der Datenbank, der Umweltdokumentation, des Vorentwurfs, der Entwicklung der Wegerechtspl\u00e4ne und der endg\u00fcltigen Entwurfspl\u00e4ne f\u00fcr das I-95 Belfast Keller Road Interchange.<\/p>\n<p>Der American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Georgia vergibt j\u00e4hrlich die GPTQ-Auszeichnungen, um Projekte zu w\u00fcrdigen, die Fachwissen in den Bereichen Verkehrsplanung und -design sowie ein Engagement f\u00fcr die Ziele der GPTQ demonstrieren. Zu diesen Zielen geh\u00f6ren: Zusammenarbeit bei der effizienten Umsetzung des Verkehrsprogramms mit Schwerpunkt auf Qualit\u00e4t; Anerkennung und Pr\u00e4sentation von Qualit\u00e4tsleistungen der Partnerschaft und ihrer Mitglieder; Verbesserung der langfristigen Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit und Haltbarkeit des Verkehrssystems in Georgia. Verkehrsprojekte in Georgien sind vom Bauherrn zu nominieren und werden an den Hauptingenieur\/das Hauptingenieurb\u00fcro f\u00fcr das Projekt vergeben.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00dcber das Projekt:  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Der I-95 Belfast Keller Road Interchange in Bryan County schafft ein neues Tor nach South Bryan County und \u00f6ffnet die T\u00fcr f\u00fcr die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, den Wohnungsbau und das industrielle Wachstum in diesem Gebiet. Die neue Strecke entlastet den Verkehr in Richmond Hill und Bryan County und bietet Pendlern und Gesch\u00e4ftsleuten eine effizientere Anbindung an Savannah und das Landesinnere von Georgia. Der Knotenpunkt verbessert auch die Erreichbarkeit des wachsenden Gebiets von South Bryan County f\u00fcr Notdienste und er\u00f6ffnet eine zus\u00e4tzliche Evakuierungsroute f\u00fcr Hurrikane. Der innovative Entwurf von Thomas &amp; Hutton f\u00fcr das Autobahnkreuz ist der erste seiner Art in Coastal Georgia mit einspurigen Kreisverkehren an den Endpunkten der Rampen. Die bahnbrechende Kreuzungskonfiguration verringerte die Gesamtfl\u00e4che der Kreuzung, was die Umweltbelastung reduzierte und gleichzeitig Kosten- und Zeiteinsparungen f\u00fcr Bryan County mit sich brachte.
