Der Gouverneur von Georgia, Brian Kemp, verk\u00fcndete die historischen Neuigkeiten am Donnerstag, den 16. Dezember, bei einer Veranstaltung im Georgia State Capitol, flankiert von Staatsbeamten, Vertretern von Rivian und dem Projektteam. Die Ansiedlung von Rivian an der East Atlanta Megasite ist die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Einzelinvestition in der Geschichte des Bundesstaates Georgia, einschlie\u00dflich eines kohlenstoffbewussten Campus im Wert von 5 Milliarden Dollar und 7.500 potenziellen Arbeitspl\u00e4tzen f\u00fcr Georgier.<\/p>\n<p>Das Megasite-Projekt wird von der Joint Development Authority (JDA) der Bezirke Jasper, Morgan, Newton und Walton vertreten. Thomas &amp; Hutton fungierte als Wirtschaftsentwicklungsberater f\u00fcr die JDA bei der Entwicklung des Standorts und unterst\u00fctzte sie bei der Erschlie\u00dfung von Finanzierungsquellen und der Koordinierung der Due Diligence. Thomas &amp; Hutton lieferte auch Wasser- und Kanalisationsberatung, Verkehrsberatung, Standortplanung und Grafiken f\u00fcr die Entwicklung des knapp 2.000 Hektar gro\u00dfen Megasite-Grundst\u00fccks.<\/p>\n<p>Rivian rechnet mit dem ersten Spatenstich im Sommer 2022 und geht davon aus, dass die ersten Rivian-Schiffe 2024 vom Band laufen werden. Bei voller Produktion wird Rivian j\u00e4hrlich 400.000 seiner elektrischen Abenteuerfahrzeuge herstellen. Die Lage des Megasite innerhalb des I-20-Korridors entspricht den Anforderungen der Lieferkette von Rivian und ist ein wichtiger Faktor f\u00fcr die Entscheidung des Unternehmens, sich im Peach State anzusiedeln. Die Megasite hat direkten Zugang zu 1.200 Meilen Autobahn und 5.000 Meilen Schienenverkehr.
