#In celebration of World Landscape Architecture Month, we’re highlighting the Yerby Road Tract—a proposed residential community in Dorchester County, SC by D.R. Horton. With approximately 1,600 planned lots, this thoughtfully designed neighborhood emphasizes connectivity, wellness, and outdoor living.
At the heart of the community is a vibrant network of shared outdoor spaces designed to foster interaction and recreation. These include an entry park, an age-targeted amenity center, and a dynamic main amenity complex.
The main amenity area will feature:
▪️ A resort-style pool and competition pool
▪️ Clubhouse building with indoor/outdoor connectivity
▪️ Fireplace lounge with views of preserved wetlands
▪️ Picnic lawn and gathering spaces
▪️ Four pickleball courts, a basketball court, and sand volleyball—all with shaded viewing areas
▪️ A putting green, movable soccer goals, and open play zones
▪️ A playground and splash pad for all ages
