THOMAS & HUTTON ANNOUNCES CIVIL LEADERSHIP PROMOTIONS ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST

Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a privately held and employee-owned professional services firm known for its award-winning culture and 80 years of shaping communities across the Southeast, announces the promotions of Mark DeSouza, PE; Aaron Falkenmeyer, PE; Chad Grass, PE; and Corey Wise, PE, into expanded leadership roles across the firm’s Civil practice.

Mark DeSouza, PE, has been promoted to Columbia Civil Department Manager. In this role, Mark will lead T&H’s Columbia Civil Department, supporting staff development, project delivery, resource management, client relationships, and continued growth across the region. Mark brings more than 21 years of experience in civil site design across residential, commercial, mixed-use, transportation, industrial, and water resources projects. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Mark also continues to serve as an Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he has served for 26 years, including three overseas combat deployments.

Aaron Falkenmeyer, PE, has been promoted to Greenville Civil Group Leader. In this role, Aaron will help lead the Greenville Civil team while supporting project delivery, staff development, resource management, client relationships, and continued growth throughout the Upstate. Aaron brings more than 20 years of engineering experience in commercial, residential, municipal, and institutional development, with expertise in site and infrastructure master planning, roadway design, water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater management, grading, and permitting.

Chad Grass, PE, has been promoted to Nashville Civil Group Leader. In this role, Chad will help guide the Nashville Civil team while supporting clients, project delivery, and continued growth across Middle Tennessee. Chad brings more than 20 years of experience in engineering, planning, and design for large-scale developments and industrial and manufacturing sites. His expertise includes site selection and certification, master planning, economic development, roadway and utility infrastructure planning, drainage design, permitting, and construction coordination. Throughout his career, he has designed or overseen the design of more than 25 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space across five states.

Corey Wise, PE, has been promoted to Industrial Group Leader. Corey will lead T&H’s efforts on industrial and manufacturing projects, serving as a key firmwide resource for teams and clients in these markets. He will provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams while supporting project delivery, staff development, client relationships, and business development. Corey has 11 years of experience with T&H in the planning and design of industrial parks, manufacturing facilities, distribution warehouses, and commercial developments, with expertise in site planning, infrastructure, stormwater design, roadway and rail-related site design, and permitting.

Each brings a different area of experience and perspective to their new role, with a shared focus on supporting their teams, serving clients, and contributing to T&H’s continued growth across the Southeast.
