27 Apr Thomas & Hutton attends Girls Engineer IT Day Expo at Woodville-Tompkins High School
Jesse Garcia, Alexander Umberg, EIT, Rylie Hutchinson, Jada Tyson, and Corina Fluker attended the Girls Engineering IT Day Expo at Woodville-Tompkins High School to represent Thomas & Hutton (T&H), a proud annual sponsor of the event!
Students from elementary through early high school visited our booth, where many were introduced to engineering for the first time. They got a firsthand look at how civil engineering and surveying at T&H help shape communities and explored what a future in the field could look like.
Our booth featured interactive experiences including “Design Your City,” where students added elements to a pseudo-Savannah inspired by several T&H disciplines, a surveyor showcase with a total station demonstration, and a “Future Engineer” photo booth where they could try on a hard hat and imagine their own future at T&H.
Along with plenty of T&H swag, students also took home house-made “Future Engineer” stickers.
A big thank you to the volunteers who helped make our booth such a special experience for every student who stopped by!
