25 Jun Thomas & Hutton Team Members Join UGA’s Capstone Design Showcase
Spending time with students during Capstone season is something our team genuinely looks forward to each year.
Members of our Savannah Civil team joined The University of Georgia Capstone Design Showcase, where students presented their final projects focused on real-world site design and development challenges, including T&H projects, Hunt Club Phase 2 and Blue Jay Apartments.
What makes this experience so meaningful isn’t just seeing the final presentations, it’s being part of the process. From early guidance to project feedback, we enjoy working alongside students as they bridge the gap between classroom concepts and real-world application. There’s a noticeable difference when students can connect their designs to actual sites, constraints, and conditions bringing everything into focus. Getting out on site, asking questions, and seeing how decisions play out in the field is where learning really sticks. It’s also where confidence starts to build.
We’re proud to play a small role in that journey and always come away impressed by the thoughtfulness, creativity, and effort these students bring to their work. The future of our industry is in good hands.
