Designed and permitted by the private developer of the adjacent Revolution Mill project, the two phases of the North Buffalo Creek greenway were a public/private partnership between the developer and the City of Greensboro. Thomas and Hutton (work completed by CJTpa) provided Survey, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering services for both phases of the greenway trail. The 1/3 of a mile greenway trail provided an important pedestrian connection between the revitalized Mill campus and Downtown Greensboro. Design elements of the 10’ trail include seating, lighting, riparian landscaping, a covered boardwalk under the railroad, and a pedestrian plaza connection to the 250-foot pedestrian bridge over North Buffalo Creek.
