Agribusiness is a significant factor in the South Carolina economy. This holds especially true in Laurens County, where the state’s first county-supported Agriculture & Business Center broke ground last month. The $7.98 Million Capital Projects Sales Tax project will upfit the former Exchange Building at the Laurens County Fair Grounds into a new exchange building, covered horse arena, and a new office home for the Clemson Extension and The South Carolina Forestry Commission.
