T&H New Hires in Charleston and Greenville

Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce the following new hires in its Charleston and Greenville regions: 

Chris Ackerman

Chris Ackerman joined T&H’s Charleston Region as a Project Manager in the Civil Department. A graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, Chris brings over 20 years of comprehensive private civil engineering experience, including design, permitting, construction administration, and client relations. Chris is involved in the Charleston community, including Charleston Home Builders Association, Summerville Rotary, Dorchester Habitat for Humanity (Board of Directors), Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce – Leadership Dorchester (Advisory Council), Dorchester County Career and Technology Center (Advisory Board), Summerville Citadel Club (Board of Directors), and serves as vice-chairman for Dorchester County Planning Commission. As a Project Manager, Chris will focus primarily on residential and commercial projects in the Dorchester County area and throughout the Charleston Region, maintaining client relationships and communication throughout the development process.

Michael Cherry

Michael Cherry joined T&H’s Charleston Region as a Designer in the Civil Department. Michael recently graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He brings previous civil engineering and land development internship experience to his role as a Designer at T&H, where he will assist with preparing site development construction drawings, engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure, and permit applications associated with residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the Charleston region.

Eli Taylor

Eli Taylor joined T&H’s Charleston Region as a Designer in the Civil Department. Eli graduated from Georgia Southern University and spent two summers working at Thomas & Hutton as a Transportation Department Intern. After graduation, he worked as an Assistant Project Manager for the Alabama Department of Transportation in the construction division. Eli is a certified ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician and HMA Roadway Technician. As a Designer, he will prepare site development construction drawings, engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure, and permit applications for multifamily and mixed-use projects in the Charleston region.

Nate Pryor

Nate Pryor joined T&H’s Greenville Region as a Designer in the Environmental Department. Nate recently graduated from Clemson University with aBachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. He has volunteered for almost ten years with Salkehatchie, a home repair ministry in South Carolina. A certified Engineer In Training (EIT), Nate brings a wealth of internship experience in construction management, wetland delineation, drafting, and permitting to his role at T&H. As a Designer in the Environmental Department, he will prepare permit packages, draft underground utility alignments and locations, manage incoming contractor information, and model water and sewer demand on systems.
