05 Nov ACEC Georgia STEM Day
T&H volunteers had a blast at ACEC Georgia’s STEM Day, diving into a journey through simple machines! This time, we explored ramps with a hands-on activity called “Force in Motion.” Students got creative, designing ramp systems to move a ball between T&H cups—some went for speed, others for max ramp usage, all while sharpening their problem-solving skills. We also led an experiment where students raced small cars down ramps with different textured surfaces, testing their hypotheses on which would be the fastest. By adjusting slopes and car sizes, they discovered how these factors affect performance—a fun and educational experience!
It was a fantastic day of learning, creativity, and engineering in action. We’re proud to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and can’t wait to see what they build next!
