13 Dec GPTQ Preconstruction Design Awards
Two of our projects, Rogers Bridge (Category 5 – Bridge/Structural Design, partnered with CHA Consulting, Inc., Edwards Pitman Environmental, and United Consulting) and the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway Extension & Interchange (Category 7 – Highway Design – Large Project, partnered with VHB), were finalists for the GPTQ Preconstruction Design Awards. Of the two, our Rogers Bridge project won its category! Although the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway Extension & Interchange did not win its category, it is moving on as a finalist for the ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards in the Transportation Category and will be honored at the 2024 Georgia Engineering Awards on Feb 23, 2024.
The Georgia Partnership for Transportation Quality (GPTQ) is a longstanding partnership between ACEC Georgia and the Georgia Department of Transportation. Its mission is to strengthen the working relationships between the parties responsible for designing, building, operating and maintaining Georgia’s transportation infrastructure, with the overarching goal of making Georgia’s transportation system the best it can be.
