Stephen Wilkinson, PLA Visits UGA’s College of Environment and Design Critique Week

Stephen Wilkinson, PLA, recently visited The University of Georgia’s College of Environment and Design (CED’s) Critique Week, where he reviewed student work from the Community Design Build course led by Professor Cameron Berglund.

This year’s project focused on designing and constructing seating elements in collaboration with Brightpaths, a local nonprofit organization in Athens dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by fostering safe and stable families through education, connection, and support. The completed seating installations will become part of a new children’s play space on the Brightpaths campus.

Stephen is also serving as a thesis committee member for UGA master’s student Bolu Alabi, whose research explores the impacts of computer-aided design and artificial intelligence on landscape architecture. The thesis examines how these technologies influence innovation, creativity, professional readiness, and the future direction of the discipline. Stephen is contributing perspective as a practitioner as the profession continues to navigate the integration of these tools into everyday work.

We’re excited to continue building on T&H’s relationship with UGA through opportunities that encourage collaboration, mentorship, and innovation in the field of landscape architecture!
