Thomas & Hutton’s approach to benefits is simple, we strive for the comprehensive enrichment of our employees. We offer zero premium, low deductible, PPO medical, dental, and RX insurance programs for employees, provided wellness program criteria are met. Vision coverage, company paid short term and long-term disability insurance, and gym membership reimbursements are also provided.

We believe that adequate time for self-care and priorities outside of work are vital for feeling fulfilled, it is for this reason that we offer generous paid time off for personal, vacation, sick and bereavement purposes. Eligibility begins upon hire. In addition to paid time off, employees enjoy 8 company paid holidays annually. A condensed work schedule has been a Thomas & Hutton practice for decades, with four-hour workdays on Fridays.

Connecting with each other is a major part of our culture at Thomas & Hutton. Our storied holiday parties and office gatherings are just the beginning, employees enjoy interoffice competitions like Office Olympics, Chili Cookoff, T&H Amateurs Golf Tournament where we tap into our competitive side to benefit a good cause. Employees are also given opportunities to continue their fellowship outside of the office at recreation and networking events.

Career Development

We believe each employee should take charge of their career. T&H PaTHways is a goal-setting system that focuses on personal individual career development. PaTHway prioritizes looking forward by establishing individual goals tied to T&H’s values related to self, others, clients, and community. We have flipped the script of a supervisor alone delineating expectations, PaTHways creates a mutual set of goals and expectations, PaTHways empowers the employee to drive the frequency of follow-up discussions on
goals.

Tapping into internal talent is necessary for the long-term success of Thomas & Hutton. Our internal Project Manager Development Program puts experienced employees who demonstrate a commitment to our vision and values on a path to a Project Manager role at Thomas & Hutton. Through a combination of mentorship and leadership opportunities, the Project Manager Development Program ensures the strength of our next generation of leadership.

Continuing Education

Thomas & Hutton invests in the long-term success of our people. We offer ongoing professional development and in-house training to ensure new employees understand the design process and professional development for employees of all experience levels.

Up & Ready is a training program developed to familiarize employees with company standard plan production and design processes and procedures. The program is customizable and scalable depending on skill set and experience level.

T&H University is an internal technical and professional development program aimed at providing the tools necessary for each employee to continually enhance their skills and abilities. We provide resources for learning such as group classes, on-the-job training, self-paced lessons, and job aids. Thomas & Hutton is an approved continuing professional competency provider in the states where we work; enabling our employees to receive professional development credits towards their licensure.

Third Thursdays is an appointment you can consistently find on our calendar. We gather once a month to explore new skills, industry trends, and company-wide achievements. This gives an opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments and within the various regions where we work. The topics vary monthly in style and scope, sharing a single goal of keeping connected as ONE Company.

Community

Thomas & Hutton is in the business of creating frameworks that allow communities to thrive. Our dedication to community service reflects that. We devote time and resources by giving back through volunteer activities and charitable donations. T&H Helping Hands is our internal monthly service program where we donate “sweat hours” to local nonprofits. Every Friday, Thomas & Hutton hosts “Jeans Day ” where donations are made to a local cause or non-profit near to the hearts of our employees in exchange for dressing down. Many of our employees are actively involved with non-profit organizations, and causes valued by our employees are a priority in our service efforts.
