I-277 Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge in Charlotte To Begin This Fall

​Charlotteans will soon have a way to safely cross Interstate 277 from the rail trail in South End into Uptown with a pedestrian and bike bridge. Construction will begin this Fall, through a public-private funding effort by the N.C. Department of Transportation, Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte. T&H is serving as consultant for the bridge project along with structural engineers, SBP. The bridge is expected to open in 2022.
