03 Oct Shem Creek Phase 3 Ribbon Cutting
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday for the opening of the pedestrian bridge crossing Shem Creek along Coleman Blvd in The Town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. T&H provided concept planning and public outreach, surveying, agency permitting, technical design, bidding and construction administration, and oversight for the project, part of the third phase of improvements to the Shem Creek waterfront that brings a safe, accessible route across the creek.
Working on Shem Creek has been a truly rewarding experience for the Thomas & Hutton team. The Town’s Project Manager, Kevin Mitchell brought his enthusiasm and vision which made the planning, design, and construction process both challenging and fun. We had a fantastic marine contractor, Cape Romain Contractors who were incredibly capable and enjoyable to work alongside. Together we have created a beautiful, unique place for tourists and locals in Mount Pleasant to enjoy at the popular Shem Creek Water way for decades.
