T&H Projects Featured in May/June 2020 Issue of Georgia Cities

The May/June 2020 issue of Georgia Municipal Association (GMA)’s Georgia Cities magazine features the Thomas & Hutton designed Jackson Street Plaza on its cover article. The story discusses outgoing GMA president and City of Dublin Mayor, Phil Best’s contributions to GMA and the City of Dublin, including his involvement with the redevelopment of Jackson Street Plaza. The Jackson Street Plaza was a “One Company” effort, T&H provided landscape and hardscape design, grading and drainage design, structural design, water and wastewater analysis, and utility coordination and design for the redevelopment of the Jackson Street Plaza and adjacent parking area.

The issue of Georgia Cities features two additional T&H projects lauded for their potential economic impact on the communities they are located in: the I-95 Belfast Keller Road Interchange in Richmond Hill, GA and Busch Commerce Park in Cartersville, GA.

The Belfast Commerce Park will be located adjacent to a new interchange on I-95 and Belfast Keller Road. T&H provided concept development and traffic analysis, environmental assessment, preliminary design, ROW plan development, and final design for the interchange. Completion of the new exit is anticipated for 2021, and the 1-million square feet of new industrial development already planned off of the interchange represents 150 new jobs for the Richmond Hill, Georgia community.

The Rome-Cartersville Development Corridor includes the 700-acre Busch Commerce Park will serve as a connection to I-75 and open the US Highway 411 Corridor up to industrial recruitment. T&H provided preliminary consulting and master planning for developer, Foxfield Company.
