The Junior Achievement of Georgia – Southern Region’s Colonial Group Discovery Center of Savannah (aka JA Colonial Group Discovery Center) has broken ground at Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong campus. Upon its completion, middle school students from across the Coastal Empire will visit the Discovery Center and learn valuable life skills like personal finance and how to manage a business from Junior Achievement volunteers.
T&H is a proud community partner of this effort, providing civil design and permitting services for the redevelopment of an existing Georgia Southern building that will house the Discovery Center. In addition, T&H is sponsoring and will be hosting a storefront inside the center. The storefronts will make up a ‘miniature Savannah’, where the students will have the opportunity to ‘work’ for the day and simulate real-world business transactions.
