Congratulations to the pioneering students at Savannah Technical College’s Historic Preservation Department on receiving a patent for their creation of a historic marker collar bracket. If you’ve been to Savannah, chances are you’ve seen historical markers dotting the City’s cobblestone squared and tree-lined streets. The new collar bracket makes historical markers more efficient and inexpensive to repair in the event of damage or needing replacement.
