27 Sep T&H Project In The News: St. Joseph’s/Candler Bryan County Medical Office Building
St. Joseph’s/Candler, southeast Georgia’s largest health system is continuing to expand its services in Bryan County. T&H is providing civil engineering services related to site selection, master planning, due diligence, traffic study, and rezoning for the 6.6-acre site located near the Bryan County Mega-site at the I-16/Highway 280 interchange. The two, two-story buildings will encompass 40,000 square feet of space at full build-out and house a multitude of clinical and medical services including urgent care, primary care, physician offices, workman’s comp offices, laboratories, and imaging. With the promise of potentially thousands of jobs coming to the area from future tenants at the nearby Bryan County Mega Site, the St. Joseph’s/Candler will be poised and ready to provide healthcare to folks who will be relocating to the area for work.
The Development Authority of Bryan County has plans to set up shop within the facility alongside St. Joseph’s/Candler. This partnership is a new model for the state of Georgia and the office will allow the Development Authority to attract prospective tenants by showcasing neighboring healthcare services accessible for future employees. Thomas & Hutton is proud to help grow St. Joseph/Candler’s footprint in Bryan County and help provide residents with crucial healthcare services. Groundbreaking is expected for January of 2023, and the building is set to open in the first quarter of 2024.
