11 Jan November 2021 Engineering Explorer Post
Looking back on one of our fondest 2021 memories, the opportunity to host another Engineering Explorer Post with Coastal Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America in November. We were fortunate to be joined by several students from local high schools in Savannah!
The students were divided into several groups to see who could get the lowest closure error in a “level loop” surveying exercise. The students also participated in a scavenger hunt using geothinQ to drop pins and upload field pictures for assigned locations around the T&H building.
We used these activities to brainstorm ways in which geothinQ could be used in conjunction with standard surveying equipment to more efficiently and effectively do the job of civil engineers. Learning made fun with a little competition. We look forward to hosting another Explorer event soon!
