Hyundai Mobis, Bryan County, GA, The electric vehicle industry is making itself right at home in Georgia! Thomas & Hutton assisted the Development Authority of Bryan County with planning and site selection for a 1,200,000-square-foot Hyundai Mobis electric vehicle power electric system manufacturing facility at the Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD) Certified Belfast Commerce Park in Richmond Hill. The plant will supply essential production components, EV power electric systems, and integrated charging control units to nearby Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. Archer Aviation, Newton County, GA, ​Thomas & Hutton worked alongside Newton County Industrial Development Authority on site selection for Archer Aviation Inc., an aerospace company planning to locate alongside the Covington Municipal Airport in Newton County. Thomas & Hutton provided civil engineering services related to land analysis for the over 96-acre site and oversaw coordination with local utilities and the City of Covington on water and sewer delivery and access road improvements to serve the area. Our team also consulted with the Airport staff on access to taxiways and height restrictions related to preliminary engineering work. Archer Aviation will produce state-of-the-art electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) at the proposed facility. Archer Aviation expects to create 1,000 jobs and invest $118 million over ten years in Newton County. The project’s location next to the Covington Municipal Airport is congruent with the long-term airport master plan, providing access to Georgia’s interstate highway system. Click here to read more on Georgia.gov

Georgia International Commerce Centre, Bryan County, GA, We are ecstatic to be a part of this significant addition to Chesterfield’s industrial portfolio. SJT Properties broke on the Georgia International Commerce Centre in Bryan County this week. The 6.5 million-square-foot distribution facility will consist of at least eight buildings. Proximity to I-16 and the Hyundai Metaplant America were cited as influential drivers for locating in the area.  Click here to view more on WTOC.

Norma Precision Inc., Bryan County, GA, T&H extended congratulations to our clients, Bryan County and the Development Authority of Bryan County on another outstanding project win! Norma Precision Inc. is expanding in Bryan County, Georgia, by building a new 300,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility at Interstate Centre III adjacent to U.S. 280 and I-16. The Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD) certified site was fast-tracked for development via advanced due diligence. I-77 International Megasite, Fairfield County, SC, The Post and Courier examines the strategy behind developing the I-77 International Megasite in Fairfield County. Just north of Columbia, Fairfield County Economic Development expects that speed to market via completed due diligence and a pre-graded site will draw manufacturers to set up shop. Marion Lake, Savannah, GA, Construction is underway on Marion Lake in western Chatham County! T&H is on the Mariner Group team for the creation of the Marion Lake multifamily community just west of I-95 in Savannah. Ascend Elements Apex II, Hopkinsville, KY, We are planting our flag in the state of Kentucky! Congratulations to our Nashville-based team on expanding T&H’s service footprint into the Bluegrass State with Ascend Elements’ Apex II groundbreaking at Hopkinsville’s Commerce Park II. The 450,000-square-foot industrial facility will process used lithium-ion batteries into materials compatible with battery systems in electric vehicles.
