Project Update: Rogers Bridge over the Chattahoochee River

With sites set on a public opening date this May, Thomas & Hutton’s Rogers Bridge project, connecting the cities of Duluth and Johns Creek, Georgia, is close to completion! The team has hit all design and construction milestones and is awaiting project closeout.

The scheduled completion for the Rogers Bridge Park Trailhead Building on the City of Duluth (south) side of the bridge coincides with the planned completion of the bridge and the public art project made from recycled portions of the previous bridge structure. The City of Johns Creek (northeast) side of the bridge connects to the 192-acre Cauley Creek Park, currently under construction, and the Rogers Bridge Trail on the northeast side.

Thomas & Hutton is also working on the Chattahoochee Greenway Trail, located west of Rogers Bridge, beginning at SR 120/Abbotts Bridge Road and ending at Cauley Creek Park. It is a segment of the Chattahoochee Riverlands Trail located on the National Park Service property. The Chattahoochee Riverlands trail connects 40+ parks across 100 miles of trail and water access points.Fun fact – in the above photo, the Atlanta skyline can be seen in the background!
