We are excited to be working with Morningstar Law on a massive mixed-use development plan for southwest Durham near the Chapel Hill border. Leigh Village will be the largest residential community in Durham’s recent history with 4,100 units, making it the second largest proposal currently under review in Durham. Envisioned as a diverse community, Leigh Village aims to offer a mix of apartments, townhomes, commercial and office space across an expanse of 85.23 acres currently owned by 2 long-time land owners. T&H Durham Regional Director, Dan Jewell, has been working with these land owners for nearly 15 years to help position the property with supportive long range land use and transit planning to lead up to this zoning request.
The plan incorporates open space, coordinated neighborhood roadway planning as well as the construction of two paved greenway paths. It also aspires to integrate these developments within accessible bus routes, enhancing connectivity and convenience for future residents.!
