Chris oversees Thomas & Hutton’s GIS Department. A licensed Professional Land Surveyor and certified Geographic Information Systems Professional, Chris joined Thomas & Hutton in 2004. He has over 20 years of experience in the creation, administration, and management of geospatial databases of land assets. He designs and builds geospatial-based tools and applications for a wide range of use in spatial problem-solving and mapping. In addition, Chris utilizes application design and programming skills to develop and deploy custom coded GIS-based web applications. He earned his Master’s in Environmental Science from the Medical University of South Carolina at University of Charleston and his Bachelor’s of Arts in Anthropology from the University of South Carolina.
In addition to overseeing the GIS department, Chris is also the Product Manager for Latapult (www.latapult.com), a GIS web application that serves as an on-demand land mapping and data visualization platform. Latapult serves as a centralized hub to access and map all available historic parcel data, as well as other current environmental, demographic, geospatial and topographic information.
