“What I enjoy most about surveying is that our work is like putting a puzzle together. Finding the right monuments, retracing a boundary, and then confirming you have all the accurate points to represent the property correctly. You’ll find interesting monuments while working that have been there for years. One of the most interesting things I found in the field was a five-foot-high concrete survey monument tucked in the North Georgia mountains.”
Jon is a Surveying Manager in our Atlanta region and came on board with Thomas & Hutton following Thomas & Hutton’s acquirement of Buford, GA’s Development Planning & Engineering, Inc. in January 2021. A Registered Licensed Surveyor, Jon has nearly 40 years of experience in land surveying with a strong background in database development, including topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys, specific surveys for utilities, streams, wetlands, environmentally sensitive areas, trees, and right-of-way staking and construction staking. Jon holds Advanced Fundamentals (Level IB) and Erosion & Sediment Control (Level II) certifications from the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission.
