“It has been a challenge and a privilege to grow and learn in one of the fastest-growing markets in the nation. The Atlanta area has grown exponentially over the past few decades and being a part of that change has allowed me to design and manage many multifaceted developments. As the region continues to grow and evolve, it is important to me to mentor the next generation of engineers and surveyors. Our profession is not to simply design and construct, it is a process that works in tandem with residents, businesses, and governments and our primary goal is to make a positive impact on the community.”
Kyle is a Principal and Project Manager in the Buford, Georgia office, joining Thomas & Hutton following Thomas & Hutton’s 2021 acquisition of Development Planning & Engineering, Inc., a civil engineering firm Kyle established in 1999. Kyle gained a foundation in the construction industry as a teenager, working on-site in residential construction. It was there he learned the evolution of a project from the ground up. This knowledge aided in his success as a civil engineer and gave him the ability to visualize a project long before it comes together on paper or in the field. His project background in site development includes single-family residential neighborhoods, large golf course communities, industrial warehouse/distribution facilities, industrial park subdivisions, commercial retail centers, regional pump station design, waterline distribution system design and modeling, flood hydrology and hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, FEMA submittals, and GDOT access permitting along with transportation infrastructure projects.
Kyle is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Georgia, a graduate of the ACEC Future Leaders program and a 2012 alumni of the Leadership Gwinnett program. Kyle is a member of the Gwinnett County Youth Diversion Program that works with certain first-time juvenile offenders and their families as an alternative to the juvenile court system.
