Thomas & Hutton assisted our client, the Foxfield Company, in the development of a new overlay district to allow for a mixed-use development located off of Alcovy and City Pond Roads. We have worked very closely with the City of Covington to develop a custom development code for the 170-acre site. The scope of services included master/site planning, development of landscape, signage and lighting design standards, authoring of the zoning text, and civil engineering/landscape architecture design for the initial roadways and infrastructure. The end-result will be a wonderful example of place-making with mixed-use, walkable, and sustainable development with opportunities for employment, recreation, and housing. This project would not have been possible without the close public/private relationship that has been fostered between the City of Covington, the Foxfield Company, and Thomas & Hutton.
