Thomas & Hutton was contracted by our client to assess an ongoing bank erosion issue. Based upon the rate and severity of erosion, as well as limited property between the water and upland structures, a vertical bulkhead wall was determined to be the best solution. The timber bulkhead wall varies in retained height from 4 feet to 11 feet. Due to limited upland area, the wall is tied back into the soil behind using helical anchors. Rip rap was installed at the toe of the wall to reduce scour.
