Working closely with Point Hope Partners, which manages Point Hope’s day-to-day residential and commercial development activities, Thomas & Hutton drew upon its four decades of experience working with the team to create Daniel Island when it began planning for Point Hope’s development in 2002.

Thomas & Hutton crafted the original master plan and zoning documents to guide Point Hope’s conservation-minded planning and coastal contemporary style. To support the goal of the community existing in harmony with the surrounding Lowcountry landscape, we have provided a wide range of additional services including civil engineering, landscape architecture, GIS, land surveying, environmental planning, transportation design, and construction observation. These extensive planning and support services have resulted in infrastructure at Point Hope that is sustainable, highly functional, and effectively integrated throughout the community’s tree-lined neighborhoods and commercial and recreational areas.

Thomas & Hutton continues to work with Point Hope Partners on this long-term development project as new neighborhoods, residential opportunities, businesses and amenities are added to the community
