08 Apr T&H Helping Hands Inaugural Atlanta Event: “Sweep The Hooch”
This past Saturday, T&H Helping Hands took part in “Sweep the Hooch” with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper at the Murphey Candler Park location in Brookhaven. The site hosted 119 volunteers made up of corporate groups: Thomas & Hutton, WSB, and the Home Depot, as well as groups from the GA Aquarium, Chamblee High School, the Fulton Science Academy, GILLS, and two scout troops. Together we pulled 2,010 lbs of trash and 669 lbs of recycling (including 12 tires to be recycled by Firestone) from the North Nancy Creek, the MCP Lake and Nancy Creek. We truly appreciate all of our staff and their families who traveled from near and far, and got down and dirty to make our first T&H Helping Hands event in Atlanta such a success!
